    This is a set of 3 gaskets for 1948 – 1956 Ford V8 pickups, panels and trucks F1 thru F6 (F100 – F600). The larger gasket goes on top of the beveled flange of the V8 truck carburetor and seals to the underside of the oil bath air cleaner. It was originally Ford part # 7RT-9654. One of the smaller cork/rubber gaskets goes inside the oil bath air cleaner and seals the top to the bottom of the original truck oil bath air cleaner. This inner gasket keeps oil from leaking out of the air cleaner oil reservoir onto the carburetor. Since there are 2 different styles of oil bath air cleaners we have included both sizes of inner cork seals, so you will only use the one which fits your oil bath air cleaner.
    If this inner cork/rubber gasket is not used then the 3 outer feet of the oil bath air cleaner top can actually wear into the inner shelf of the base.
    I have actually seen oil bath air cleaners which are missing this gasket where these feet have actually worn holes into the shelf area.
