It is Premium Quality with brass protecting the wood on all sides. There are no marks of abuse on the clearly marked wood registers or the beautifully bright polished precision  brass components. Truly, this is considerably better than any that are presently for sale on ebay.  PLEASE NOTE: ALL EDGES OF THE WOOD ARE PROTECTED WITH BRASS AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS.  This has been in my personal collection  since 1980
