    This beautiful medal is a replica of the German Duchy of Baden
    Order of the Zaehringer Lion Commanders Cross
    with swords.
    The award was established in 1
    812 by Großherzog Karl Friedrich of Baden.  This grade of the award was given from 1815 through the end of WWI.
    The medal measures 49 X 49 mm, weighs 42 grams and comes with a 12-inch length of 45 mm wide ribbon.
