    Description

    The Order of the Zähringer Lion (
    Orden vom Zähringer Löwen)
    was established in 1812 by Karl, Grand Duke of Baden, in memory of the Dukes of Zähringen from whom he was descended.
    This is the Grand Cross of the order. My beautifully-detailed replica measures 9.5 centimeters across and weighs 73 grams (2.6 ounces).  It is fully functional.  The all-metal / enamel breast star is made from plated copper.
