    Description

Half Off Ponds Pressure Filter for Ponds to 4,000 Gallons 36-Watt UV HOPBP-4000H
Half Off Ponds Pressure Filter for Ponds to 4,000 Gallons 36-Watt UV HOPBP-4000H
Half Off Ponds 4,000 Gallon Pressure Filter with 36-Watt UV
    How it Works:
    Mechanical Filtration:
This first stage of filtering removes suspended debris. Water is pumped into the filters and passes through separate layers of filter media — coarse and fine layers — to effectively remove all sizes of unwanted debris.
    UV Clarification:
The final filtering stage uses Ultra-Violet light to keep water clean as it filters back to your pond.
    Cleaning Your Filter:
Flushing the filter to remove dirt and debris is as easy as shutting down the pump, rotating the valve from filter to flush, and turning the pump back on for as long as it takes for the water to run clear. When the water runs clear, you can stop back flushing and return to normal operation.
Using the Handle to Purge Filters:
Pumping the handle while back-washing compresses the filters for an efficient cleaning, while not compromising your existing beneficial bacteria. This bacteria naturally converts harmful ammonia and other wastes into healthy nitrates that fertilize aquatic plants and support a healthy pond environment.
Half Off Ponds Pressure Filter for Ponds to 4,000 Gallons 36-Watt UV HOPBP-4000H
Maximum pond size is 4,000 gallons and 3,000 gallon fish ponds. Pump flow rates: 2,000 - 4,100 gallons per hour. Multi-Stage Mechanical Filtration removes coarse And fine floating particulates.
2-Stage mechanical filtration removes coarse and fine floating particulate. Bio Balls biological filtration cultivates beneficial bacteria which converts ammonia and harmful waste into healthy nitrates that promote a healthy pond environment.
Bult-in clarifier with 36 watt clarifying bulb assists in water clarification. Glowing monitor indicates clarifying light is functioning properly. Visible indicator signals when pressure filter requires backwashing.
Heavy duty, watertight housing is easily accessible for filter maintenance. Can be partially buried to conceal filter.
Inlet/outlet barbs accept multiple hose sizes. Runs on 120 Volts/60 Hz with a 23' power cord
FAQs & Calculations to Help Select the Correct Kit
    1. How Many Gallons of Water does My Water Feature Hold?
    Rectangular Ponds
    Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.48 = Gallons
Example: A rectangular pond 15’ long, 10’ wide and 1.5’ Deep Pond is...
    15’ x 10’ x 1.5’ x 7.48 = 1683 Gallons
    Oval Ponds
    Length x Width x Average Depth x 0.8 x 7.48 = Gallons
Example: An oval pond 15’ long, 10’ wide and 1.5’ deep is...
    15’ x 10’ x 1.5’ x 7.48 = 1683 Gallons
    Round Ponds
    Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.48 =Gallons
Example: 15’ long, 10’ wide and 1.5’ Deep Pond
    15’ x 10’ x 1.5’ x 7.48 = 1683 Gallons
    Streams
    Length x Width x Average Depth x 0.25 x 7.48 = GALLONS =Gallons
Example: 15’ long, 10’ wide and 1.5’ Deep Pond
    15’ x 10’ x 1.5’ x 7.48 = 1683 Gallons
    2. How Big of a Pump Do I Need??
Minimum pump size is determined by pond type, water volume, head height and friction loss. The minimum pump size recommendations are:
    Water Garden, Few Small Goldfish
Circulate total pond water valoume every 2 hours.
Example: 2,000 GPH pump for a 3000-gallon pond with 2’ waterfall.
    Fish Pond, Several Small Fish
Circulate total pond water valoume every 1 hour.
Example: 3,800 GPH pump for a 3000-gallon pond with 2’ waterfall.
    Koi Pond, Several Large Fish
Circulate total pond water valoume every 3/4 hours.
Example: 2,000 GPH pump for a 3000-gallon pond with 2’ waterfall.
    Calculating Head Height
Dynamic head pressure is found by taking the vertical height of your waterfall; the distance between where your pump is (typically in the skimmer) and where your waterfall is, and adding the static head pressure (pipe and fittings) 1’ for every 10’ of tubing and 1’ for every elbow or “T” fitting.
    Example: 3' (vertical height) + 2.5 (25' of tubing) + 2' (for 2 elbows) = 7.5' of Dynamic Head Pressure
    Note:
It is important to take into consideration while calculating how much flow will be at the top of your waterfall by accounting for the head height due to the laws of fluid dynamics. Please refer to the flow chart above to help choose the correct pump.
