Description

Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery decorated acorn shaped small vase with an incised design of a spray of blue flowers and green leaves against a matte speckled gray ground. The interior is a glossy robin's egg blue.  The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915.   It measures 3 5/8 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest.  It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.  There are some faint impressions on the bottom, possibly their die-stamped MP ship mark.  A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
