Description
Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery unusual decorated acorn shaped small vase with a design of stylized peacock feathers or poppy pods in blue and brown against a speckled matte green ground. The interior is a glossy robin's egg blue. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. It measures 3 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. Marked with their die-stamped MP ship mark. A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
