Marblehead Pottery unusual decorated Arts & Crafts matte green vase peacock

Description

Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery unusual decorated acorn shaped small vase with a design of stylized peacock feathers or poppy pods in blue and brown against a speckled matte green ground. The interior is a glossy robin's egg blue.  The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. It measures 3 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest.  It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws.  Marked with their die-stamped MP ship mark.  A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
