Old American Flyer Metal Train

Old American Flyer Metal Train. I dont know much on these as i am selling some items from my dads collections. Please see photos and i will do my best to answer questions. I cant find year on it. I also have not tried to see if the steam function works. The front where the light would be doesnt seem to stay closed (i may not be doing something correct here). Comes with portion of metal track shown. This is a used product in that i know it sat for years in a display case, but whoever my dad got it from used it. I would rate it as good conditon.
