Vintage ACME RULE CO. Folding Rule with German Silver Trim - Salisbury, CTThis is a vintage 12"
ACME RULE CO.
four-fold German Silver bound
Carpenters' rule
with arch joint. This example is not marked, but it has all the characteristics of a rule manufactured by ACME. This obscure rule maker manufactured folding rules in
Salisbury, Connecticut
in the late 19th century. The construction of rules made by ACME are unique in that they have pins holding the pieces together on the faces of each leg instead of using a solid section. I rate this ruler in
GOOD CONDITION
overall. It has it's single edge alignment pin in place and folds up nice and tight. The numbers and markings are a bit light on the outside, but they are clear and easy to read on the inside. A nice example of an ACME folding rule for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
If you have any questions regarding this item, please ask me prior to bidding. In the next few weeks, I will be selling folding rules made by Stanley, Lufkin, H. Chapin, Stephens, Rabone, Upson Nut, and others, so if you like folding rulers, please take a second to take a look at my other auctions.
Thanks For Your Interest & Good Luck!!!
