    Vintage HUBBARD HARDWARE #36 Boxwood & Brass Folding Caliper Rule
    This is a vintage 6"
    HUBBARD HARDWARE CO. - MIDDLETOWN, CT  No. 36
    two-fold boxwood and brass
    Carpenters' rule
    with brass caliper and square joint.   This rule is 'bitted'.  It has a brass plate where the alignment pin fits into the edge of the rule.  I rate this ruler in
    FAIR CONDITION
    overall.
    The maker's markings are no longer legible due to being worn from use.  I
    t does have the alignment pin and folds up nice and tight.   Uncleaned.  The brass caliper works good.   An uncommon example of a vintage caliper rule by this early Middletown, Connecticut rule maker for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
