    Vintage J. RABONE & SONS MAKERS Boxwood Rope Gauge Rule with Brass Caliper
    This is a vintage 4"
    J. RABONE & SONS MAKERS No. 1206
    boxwood
    Rope Gauge Rule
    with brass caliper.   This rule is loaded with tables on both sides used for calculating the strength of various size wire rope.   I rate this ruler in
    FINE CONDITION
    overall.  This rule has been cleaned and is ready for display.  There is a minor 1/4" hairline by the edge of the caliper.  All of the numbers and markings are clear and easy to read.  A very nice example of a vintage Rope Gauge by J. Rabone & Sons for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
