Vintage Stanley SW, 36 1/2 EM (English & Metric) Caliper Rule, Special Order!

This is a vintage Stanley No. 36 1/2 EM caliper rule in excellent condition.
This is a very hard to find rule, it would have been a special order from Stanley as they did not stock this item at local stores.  This is the 36 1/2EM which stands for English and Metric.  The rule has Imperial measurements on one side and Metric on the other.  The slide caliper is marked with both as well.
The rule is in excellent condition with no cracks, bends or decay.  All of the numbers and scales are easily read in person.  The images do have shadows and dark spots due to my poor photography and lighting.
I did not clean this rule, just a wipe with a soft cloth to remove dust.  There is some tarnish on the brass and I opted to leave it alone for you rule collectors.   This is the Sweetheart era and it's marked as such.  There is also the number 20 stamped under the sliding caliper and I would guess that is the date which fits for the Sweetheart vintage.
The boxwood still retains about 90% of the original shiny finish and all parts move freely as they should.  Again, nice and straight, no decay or damage and it's in excellent condition.  A previous owner filed some grooves in the caliper end, 3 on the metric side and 2 on the imperial side.  I imagine it was so he could discern which side he was using by feel.  The rule shows light use and no abuse.  It's been well cared for during it's 100 years.
This is a great find for you collectors who love the seldom seen Stanley tools.
