Vintage THOMAS BRADBURN & SONS MAKERS Boxwood Rope Gauge Rule with Brass Caliper
This is a vintage 4"
THOMAS BRADBURN & SONS MAKERS - BIRMINGHAM
boxwood
Rope Gauge Rule
with brass caliper.   This rule is loaded with tables on both sides used for calculating the strength of various size wire rope.   Plus, this example is marked "
ASPINALL SON & BROOKE - LIVERPOOL
" on the brass caliper.  I rate this ruler in
GOOD + CONDITION
overall.  This rule has been cleaned and is ready for display.  The brass caliper is off center by about 1/16" when closed.   All of the numbers and markings are clear and easy to read.  A nice example of a vintage Rope Gauge for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
