The Matala BioSteps II External Gravity Filter is the new and improved filter that replaces the previous model (BioSteps 10). This high quality pond filter combines mechanical filtration and biological filtration using Matala mats. Included Matala® filter mats provide state-of-the-art progressive filtration. The rugged BioSteps II contains an amazing 200 square feet of surface area for beneficial bacteria growth. Combined with a cross-flow design that traps and processes more debris at high flow rates, you get unparalleled mechanical and biological filtration for superior water quality.
Includes 2 green pads, 2 blue pads, 2 gray pads for amazing filtering!
Recommended flow rate is 800-900gph (no pump included)
1.5" inlet with swivel elbow fitting to fit 3/4", 1", 1.25", 1.5" tubing
Outlet for 1.5" or 2" piping
Bottom drain fitting for backwashing, includes drain plug
Available with optional 16 Watt UV clarifier for improved water quality
